Family retakes
Saturday, August 30, 2008, 8:27 AM
I already did this family a month or so ago but it ended up their little one was sick and it just didn't work out for family pictures that day so we did a small shoot then but rescheduled. We met at a little park in Cascade. Here are a few of my favorites from the day:
This is my very first shot...I always try to get one (usually in the beginning) where everyone is looking in the same direction then we just play and have fun!

I love how they were interacting:)
The girls about knocked Dad over when they were looking on each other back and forth:)
A moment between Mommy and Elka Finally a smile this time:) There were more too:) Here's the famous face on my site!
Mom & Boys
Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 10:55 AM
There is nothing like the love of a mother. That was so apparent when I went to visit Shannon and her boys. Here are a few of my favorites:
The boys had many, many cute pictures but here is one that they are both in:) Mom giving some "Squeezes" The boys were loving jumping, hugging and playing with their mom We had just come out of the woods and it was in the middle of the field....the lighting was just right One of my all time fav's Awh....love this one! They did an outfit change....the boys belts were so cute!! At the end they got out the horses....I love this one. Thank you Shannon for asking me to take pictures of you and the boys. I had a great time. Hope you have enjoyed your preview!
Senior
7:27 AM
I had a senior session which was really cool b/c she included her horse. I love when seniors include something that is close to their heart. Plus she was really great to work with. Here are a few of my favorites:
Teri had a great helper with grain to make the horse look:)
I just love the innocence of this picture
Teri has a great smile but she also does some awesome serious faces! Thanks guys!
Wedding
Saturday, August 23, 2008, 6:50 AM
This wedding was for long time friends. I went to school with the groom and the bride's brother. I also played with the bride when we were little and our parents have always been friends. So when they asked me to shoot their wedding I was tickled pink:) Here are a few of my favorites from the day but it's so hard to choose a couple out of 500+ pictures:
The "W" is for her new last name....awh
The girls and their best kissey faces
The guys being sly... The flower girl....she was so cute!
The bride getting a little teary eyed with her dad before walking down the aisle
She had to wipe her tears a couple times during the ceremony
The bride and groom themselves

The real bride:) She is a fun-loving, funny gal. This picture shows it!
The best man had one of the funniest toast I've ever heard The groom gets cleaned up after the cake smashing
They had someone lasso them...I had never seen that! I love how all the girls sat right below to watch them dance. I can just imagine they are discussing how one day they will be married and dance with their husbands

Thank you guys for allowing me to capture you day.
Newborn
6:20 AM
I was asked to shoot a newborn...3 weeks to be exact! I love to shoot newborns. They are so flexible and everyone always wants to love on them. This family had a gap in between children but I thought it was amazing how the older one's were so in love with the new baby. This couple prayed for a long time for God to bring them a baby and their prayers came true!! Here are a few of my favorite: Adorable Love Dads feet with Baby Nothing like a mothers touch
I love this one just b/c what a journey this family has been on. Life has had its struggles but makes it all worth it when you have a new arrival!
Fun Again!

I had yet another fun shoot. I have been taking pictures of Jack since he was 1. Now his sister is 1! It was fun to go to their home and enjoy them in their environment. That is what I have loved the most this summer is people inviting me to shoot at their home, right in their back yards. I find the kids have a better time b/c it's their stomping ground:) Here are a few of my favorites:
Jack is a very smart boy....anything you need to know about tractors he will tell you!:)
They both took turns pushing each other. Emma took a bit to get warmed up but gave small smiles here and there I am not sure why I love this picture...I think it might be b/c it isn't posed and both parents are full of smiles watching their kids. I love when I catch the little whispers Thank you guys again for allowing me to come to your home and capture some pictures of the family. I enjoy watching your children grow!
Fun Kids!
Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 8:20 PM
I did a session with a great group of kids. I did their pictures a couple of years ago and was excited to go back to the "barn" to shoot again....I have a thing for barn pictures! I guess it brings back some memories of my childhood up at our farm. Here are a few of my favorite:
Love how she looks so serious
I love this b/c this is totally what happens when you try to get four kids to sit together for a picture. Atleast one ends up running off:)

Boys are so goofy sometimes! Ok, so the running off thing happens all the time not just with a larger group:) Arm wrestling... Love this playhouse So I want to post all the sessions I take but am realizing I will never get caught up if I do. I am super busy this summer. I am hoping to post once a week, more if I have time. Sorry to those of you who I don't post on....I still have favorites from your session:) Until next time....enjoy!
