Sunday an old friend of mine asked me to take family pictures. She is my friend from way back in middle school. We were attached by the hip in high school and then after high school just drifted away from each other....as many do. This year she contacted me through the wonderful internet and we reconnected. Really it is b/c of her that I am even a photographer today. She was my model as I would use my point and shoot camera and my parents bedsheets as backdrops. She would do all the poses in the JcPenny and JCrew catalogs:) If I didn't have that experience I am not sure if I would be a photographer today. I honestly think God has plans for her to be in my life. Here are a few that I love:
Olive was such a camera ham...always looking at the camera and smiling! Michele makes a great mom! Gosh, I see tons of cute babies...but Olive is so beautiful!! I love when Dads interact with their children especially when someone is watching Olive is amazed by her mom Whats a family picture without the dog:) I love the sky in this picture and a great barn! Thanks guys! I had a good time and look forward to taking more pictures of your family.

Saturday I had the pleasure to capture some friends engagement pictures. I have known these two for many years. They contacted me last summer about doing their wedding and I was ever so happy to agree! Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Love how they are looking at each other

Love her look

Love the wall Love the kissing

It was raining the whole way to Lake Odessa and when they stepped out of their car it suddenly cleared up. It was still overcast which is a photographers dream. The beach was empty another photographers dream:)
Awh...I love the way Mike is looking at Lindsey I had a great time and am very thankful you chose me to capture your day. I can't wait until the big day.

Saturday morning I took pictures of Kennedi & Addison. We beat the rain and had a great location right at my grandma's house. I loved going there b/c the girls could just run & no matter where they went it was an interesting background. Here are a few of the million I took that morning:) : I had a hard time turning them in black and white b/c the shades of red on the barns are so pretty but this one just screamed "put me in black and white please". Look at those teeth! They took turns running down the hill I was doing some crazy voices b/c I love to make children laugh although parents sometimes wonder where I came from:) Oh well...it's totally worth it!
Mom and Dad have the "Claw" that they get out and it tickles the kids to death:) I just love this one not b/c it's the best photography just b/c it shows how children really are...one is interested in her dress and the other one is jumping and shouting! I love kids!! Thanks guys for allowing me to take the girls pictures. Hope you enjoyed the location as much as I did. I will have the rest up soon!

Thursday I took senior pictures for our cousin Steve. He was a trooper since I took tons of pictures and made him do tons of walking. We started at Fallsburg Park in Lowell where he had pictures with his dogs, then we went to the High School where he played tennis for a bit and finally we ended in town where we just used the buildings and neat places we found. Here are a few of my favorite:
This is two of Steve's three dogs...other one not feeling so much like getting a photo:) I love how blue the sky turned out in this photo: Plus...Steve seemed like a super good tennis player! There is a small path to get down to the water....totally worth taking! I love taking seniors by neat buildings Thanks guys for allowing me to take Steve's senior pictures. It was also very nice to see all of you again. Good luck with your future Steve!!

On Sunday I took family pictures. Anyone that knows me knows I no longer do extended family pictures. It's just not something my heart is into. This family had bought a gift certificate from me about a year and a half ago so I had to honor it. I was very glad I did. Besides having a photographers dream with a great house and yard to photograph with they had a great family. Here are a few from the evening: Grandma with her grand-"girls":) I love this one b/c he wasn't even asked to kiss his sister we actually had to say his name to get him to stop kissing her:) Each family had some pictures taken of them This is the whole family in front of their incredible house! Thank you guys for allowing me to come to your home to capture your pictures.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of capturing Jason and Casey's wedding. They did a small gathering in her parents front yard. It was so sweet and romantic. You knew that everyone invited to come was very special to the couple. Here are a few of their day: Casey getting ready in her parents room...I love how you can see her sister-in-law behind her The ring bear was not comfortable in front of my camera at first but soon he warmed up and gave some of the best smiles! I love how Casey is looking at Jason...you can just see the love! Casey looking stunning After the ceremony just Jason, Casey and I went in the back yard for some more pictures Jason & Casey-Thank you for choosing me for your special day. Have fun in Florida and I can't wait to meet up with you guys after you get back.
